About Me


Shari Gold is a 1983 graduate of Brooklyn Law School. For the past 30 years, she worked on Wall Street, specializing in litigation and labor law, was an Administrative Law Judge for the New York City Board of Education for Special Education and the New York City Environmental Control Board before becoming private counsel to judges in the Family Court, Supreme Court and Appellate Division. Her training has been with the New York Peace Institute, followed by an apprenticeship program, along with numerous advanced training programs in conflict coaching, custody and family matters. She also completed a matrimonial mediation program with the Center for Mediation and Training. She is currently a training coach for both the New York Peace Institute in their basic mediation course and the New York City Police Department in their mandated mediation program. She currently serves as a volunteer mediator with the Ulster County Dispute Resolution Center and is a Commissioner with the Ulster County Human Rights Commission which was instrumental in implementing a mediation program for all civil rights disputes on a local level.
